THE MAGNETIC DOT ENCYCLOPEDIA

Enormously Gigantic Pentagonal Bypyramid (35 Dots/Edge) Like

This is one HUGE & Heavy puppy 78 lbs of Pure Magnet Power!!! Oh, Oh, OHHH!!!!...xD !!! Measures 11" across & 8" deep :) - 35 dots per side

These last 3 use every single dot I own 36444...xD :)

78 pound bundle of joy and fun!!!

Penta Pal is a great conversation piece as well as a great way to relieve all that daily stress. It's a great listener, whether it's a quick 2-5 minute rant or an all day affair. It'll listen to each and every work and not be judgemental in any way.

It will definitely stay wherever you put it and it's not like those pet rocks where someone can easily pocket it and walk out of your house with it...lol.

Even better yet, it can also share in your moods with you. If your happy, you can make it look happy by changing it's facial features. Forget Mr.& Mrs. Potato Head when you have Penta Pal. Your imagination is the only limit to what you can add to it. No need to wait for new part to be made and put in the stores, you create each one yourself...xD :)

In a sad mood, create a sad face for it, mad create a mad one...or just feel weird & crazy you can create that style too....Limited by your own imagination, you can't go wrong with Penta Pal.

JUST DON'T NAME IT * WILSON* that could lead to some strange traumatic events happening...lol (Just ask Tom Hanks..he'll vouch for that!!..xD :))

  • waynehjr1 - 4 years ago
LOL ya if you could throw it hard enough ..it weighs like 50-75lbs...wish my scale worked..but it don't so just guessing. All I know is it is really heavy..lol

OH ya that little pile of magnets is all I have left..the rest are all in this big bad boy...lol
  • t1m - 4 years ago
    Is it actually 35735 magnets?
  • t1m - 4 years ago
Then by your math, the structure weighs approximately 78 lbs, or about 36 kilos.
  • waynehjr1 - 4 years ago
Yes Exactly that many. I actually have 36444 dots total. Below is how I kept track each time I added a more to the build as I went along...I actually had 709 dots left when I finished (hence the little stack of dots in the picture..xD)

    3578 all.the defected nickel+ Spare Colored sets
9636 + 28(+10 dots) sets of the misc. mixed sized old ones nickel
    10886 +5(+170 dots) sets purple
    12136 +5(+170 dots) sets blue
    13383 +5(+167 dots) sets yellow
    14633 +5(+170 dots) sets green
    15883 +5(+170 dots) sets orange
    17132 +5(+169 dots) sets red
    18382 +5(+170 dots) sets pink
    19848 +6(+170 dots) sets black
    20921 +4(+209 dots) sets zinc
    22193 +5(+192 dots) sets silver
    23273 +5 sets copper
    24569 +6 sets black nickel
    25644 +5(-6 dots) sets gold
    27804 +10 sets chrome N48
    29964 +10 sets chrome N38 (33 dots per side)
    34284 +20 sets nickel
    36444 +10 sets Zen N38
-709 = 35735 (35 dot per side) Enormously Gigantic Pentagonal Bypyramid

*CORRECTION* just noticed an error...subtract 1 set..as I only have 9 Zen sets not 10. So the actual total I have is 36228 and total used would be 35519...but still very heavy..lol

LOL..I knew I was close...Just over my high end guess of 75lbs...lol

Definitely my Largest (Weight wise & Density wise) build I've done to date..xD :)
  • t1m - 4 years ago
That is madness sir, you have an absurdly large (heavy) collection of magnets!
  • Balgore - 4 years ago
I must know... How long did this take you lol?

Also I am surprised all your sets mixed so well. Well done indeed.
  • waynehjr1 - 4 years ago
About 10-12 hours of actual assembly, but I didn't do the whole thing all at once I picked at it for a few days..lol. That's why I wanted to keep track of what sets I put where, so as to make it easier when it came to disassembly...xD. I want to be able to separate my sets easy so not to mix them all up..:)

As far as starting out I figured I'd put all the worse ones at the core in hopes that as it gathered more and more layers it would smooth out everything...lol. I just wanted to see just how big I could make one of these if I used every single dot/magnet I had (the good, bad and the ugly included..lol).

Trying to figure out if I can enhance this thing with something to use up my last 709 dots to make a complete build using every single dot I have...lol

Another thing I was pondering..is I wonder just how much magnetic pull this thing has in it's core now? lol.. Ever cut into a solid object and notice the deeper you go the stronger the pull is to the magnets. Well this one has to have some major pull going on...lol
  • ilikedrums - 4 years ago
Mad respect man you have many epic huge builds, are you planning on adding more magnets to your collection in the future? You could maybe test this triumpant beauty by covering it with a cloth (optional protection), and seeing how much weight you can lift with it.
  • waynehjr1 - 4 years ago
The strongest pull is actually i the center of this thing..the outer area has some pull butg not like creating a super strong magnet.. The Polarities are actually inward attracting each magnet toward the center.

Although if I were to say cut a section out down into the center of this thing it could represent something similar to a black hole...lol, where everything in the path of the cut would be drawn into it (especially other magnets..xD). I really want to try it, then I could make the largest 30 Sided Star build I ever have, but I have a plan of disassembling this bad boty layer by layer so as not to mix up all my colors/sets. :( If I were to attempt cutting a hole or creating a 30 Sided Star...I would definitely mix up most of my sets/colors...which would consist of days (possibly weeks with this amount) to sort back out again...lol.

Dot Count Correction again..lol, I just un-assembled it & found out I had (1) more set of Pink dots than I thought. So basically my 1st count was right of having a total of 36444 and used 35735 dots, I guess the (1) less Zen set cancels out the (1) more Pink set..lol. Here's the new chart if anyone really needed it for what ever reason..lol. Only takes a second with copy & paste..xD :
