THE MAGNETIC DOT ENCYCLOPEDIA

Rhombic Tricontahedron Like

by: Balgore Follow

My second "big" build. I forget the exact dot count, somewhere around 2000.

12 of these star-shaped pentagons

The basic subunit

Connect 'em on the ends

One more piece left, 5 connection points, the hardest one!

Complete!

    Nice work :)
I responded to your comment on the now newly renamed 'pyramid' btw. The real 'shooting star' video has an update to 700 magnets as well (i'd forgotten to count the centre structure). All my counts are estimates.

Oh and each rectangular sub-unit is 24 dots, you join 5 to make a star (120) there are 12 stars (1440) and you add in 12 five dot pentagons (60) for structural support which brings us to a grand total of 1500 dots.
Keep up the good work man, and keep posting.
