    Well, I don't know if mine totally replicates the star above, but the 6-tag structure is very unstable. I built mine out of odd shortened 6-tag subunits. I also noticed that the pentagons grabbing in that arrangement is very difficult to build, I found a different method using a hexagon arrangement, then adding 3 8 unit structures on the side of it. Very time consuming.

    @planez the tetrahedrons are made (from memory, and puzzling over my own photo) from four 6tags, but shortened as you discovered. It was wobbly and fell over as i was finishing it before that. The inner tags are halved, and the joining tags between tetrahedrons are 3/4. The outer tags are full length but i added little triangles of 3 to make them more pointy. You should post videos :)
    I checked your pic again, and it looks like you did the same thing (except the points). You might try covering the flash with a bit of tissue paper to damp it down

    The tetrahedrons I built were all 3/4 short. I think I found a more efficient subunit to build the tetrahedron, and I inspired me to build a variation of your tag star.
